The Audi R8

The R8 was first introduced in 2008 as Audi's first shot at an exotic, mid-engine sports car. This car has been well received throughout since its release. Drivers and critics alike felt like the "mid-engine" part of the goal wasn't working for them. They wanted something stronger and Audi said "OK". 2010 rolls around and they put out an R8 equipped with a 525 HP V10 engine, the same one a Lambo Gallardo sports.
